I bought darkroom equipment to learn how to develop negatives before I bought my first camera. Which I still have. A Pentax. It was my pride and joy until digital happened. My first video camera was a Sony Betamax. I now use Canon.  I edit on Adobe CC. Photoshop for photos and Premiere Pro for video.
